I was on a boat…

….If you were wondering where I’ve been. Not a very nice boat, a sort of shed-like barge full of spiders, where everything is broken, where the shower is cold, and the water randomly shuts off, and-no i wont go on. Do you know the Johnny Clarke poem Chicken Town? Well it’s like that but on a boat.
It belongs to my brother’s girlfriend and obviously she plans to fit it out and fix it up, and generally make it a nice place to live, but first it needed bringing up to our area, through about seventy locks, and past two pubs that wouldn’t serve us any food. It was a bit ‘get me off this sodding boat’ at times, but it was also fun to be chugging along with chumms, and eating cornflakes on the bow.

  1. Your brother wasn’t trying to fix the fridge door when it fell off was he?

Ah yes HMS Dystopia. A lovely … shed on steel.

  3. No, he was trying to move the fridge out of the way so he could fix the water, as i said, everything was broken.
